MP brings her DC comedy showcase Alphabet Soup to Chicago for an hour of laughs from three comedians! Start your Friday night off right with an hour of comedy led by DC-based MP and her comedy showcase Alphabet Soup! She brings us Chicago-based comedians Ameerah Sanders and Shawn Banks to the stage.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors at 6pm and our show starts at 7pm! Dorothy remains open after the showcase until 1am.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black doors on Campbell Ave and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799.

ABOUT THE COMEDIANS

Ameerah is a Chicago-Based comedian. She is a resident cast member at The Lincoln Lodge. Her dry observational and anecdotal humor draws from her life as a former Muslim and current heathen.

Shawn Banks is a comedian originally hailing from DC, who now resides in the Windy City. Shawn has performed at some of the most respectable establishments such as The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Bar, and Zanies. He is also a producer of a monthly showcase at The Laugh Factory called Lowkey Funny. Shawn was also named one of Chicagos 30 under 30 by the Windy City Times.

MP is a comedian based in DC. She fell in love with stand-up comedy last year and now produces monthly comedy shows with queer comedians in queer spaces. Her goal is to put on as many queer shows in queer spaces as possible. She has performed in queer spaces all across DC, and is now on the road.
