Biographical / Historical
This collection includes records from the Royal Imperial Sovereign Barony of the Windy City (since August 2004 the Imperial Windy City Court of the Prairie State Empire), a not-for-profit charitable association founded in 2001. The Windy City Empire is a part of the International Imperial Court System, a network of LGBTQ+ organizations that work to raise money for charitable causes. The collection documents events hosted by the Barony, official visits to other courts, and the official correspondence of the Barony.
