Biographical / Historical

The Lesbian Community Center was a non-profit, women-staffed organization that provided referral and information for Chicago-area women and visitors, as well as a drop-in space for members of the lesbian community to socialize and participate in planned activities. The center was incorporated in 1979 and closed in 1983 for financial reasons.
