The collection contains 1 program for the 1990 CGMC’s Gay and Lesbian Pride Week concert, approximately 49 video tapes, approximately 125 audio cassette tapes, and a box of slides. The condition is outwardly good, but quality of playback is unknown.

Biographical / Historical
Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) was founded in 1983 in order to participate in the Come Out and Sing Together (COAST) festival in New York City. CGMC performs choral ensemble work, musical theater, and original work. The chorus performs locally and has traveled throughout the United States and Canada.

Provenance
The collection was donated in memory of Garth Guido, a CGMC member. Material was received on February 28, 1994 by Michael Sarna and accessioned by Diane Asseln on September 5, 1996. The audio tapes and videos in Box 3 were donated by Larry Bellezzo and are duplicate copies. The slides in Box 3 were donated by Bill Christy.
